Welcome to our gym, the first Jiu-Jitsu gym in Pueblo West and the only Nogi grappling academy in Pueblo County! We bring 20 years of experience, offering classes for both kids and adults.

Our grappling system brings together the science of learning and the arts of Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Wrestling to teach you how and why grappling works. This system gives you room to develop your own personal style of grappling based on your goals, body type, and interests.

What does Nogi mean?

Nogi training is the evolution of traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that came to the USA in the 70s. Back then, everyone wore a heavy uniform that was used as a control method. Nogi advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by incorporating American wrestling and the heavy uniform was replaced with shorts and tight-fitting shirts. Nogi’s popularity has exploded in the last decade! The modern approach is more applicable to self-defense because there’s been an explosion of amateur and professional Nogi competition opportunities as well.
